Things That You Should Check Before Signing A Contract
If you choose to work legally - and yes, it's mandatory for you to choose to work legally -, then before going to the new
job, you will be asked to sign a contract with the company that has just offered you the job.
In the next following lines, you will find out which are the most important things that you should check before signing a
contract.
When it comes to taxes, most of the employers will look to do anything possible to not pay all of them. This is why,
some of the employers do not include medical insurance for their workers on the contract.
Is this legal? Unfortunately, yes. Only if the medical insurance - that was included in the contract - isn't respected,
then and only then, people can consider this illegal, and therefore they can forward their case to the police.
Though, in order to avoid any problems, before signing a contract check it twice and find out exactly about the medical
insurance you are entitled to receive.
Next, you should check the number of days that you are allowed to go on vacancy. In order to not have any problems, it is
recommended to search a little through the Worker's Code from your country just to see how many days are stipulated there.
For example, in France, workers are allowed to be free 5 weeks per year, while in some states of the US, only 21. Though,
always check the contract to see if the number of free days is bigger or at least legal with the number stipulated in the
laws.
Last, but not least, check if you are being given a salary while you are on vacation. Normally, you should receive, but it
is better for you to have this stipulated on the contract. The normal salary that you should receive is about 80% from your
normal salary - and in some cases, this is even obligatory because the laws ask for it. But you know: it is better to
prevent, rather than treat, therefore ask every detail in part, and ask your employer to write everything down on the
contract.
Now, there may be other things that may miss from the contract. But if the contractor doesn't want to place the above ones
on the contract, then you should definitely don't go for that job, as it will only cause trouble in the future.
