When To Quit Your Job
Quitting your job nowadays is a risky thing, especially as there aren't too many jobs left on the market. Right? In order
to see this, check any newspaper and pay attention at the job offer: workers are still needed, but there aren't any good
jobs left.
Though, when do you know that it's the time to quit your job and search for another one?
Basically, there are 2 situations when you should quit your job.
The first situation is when you have just realized that things aren't too pink at your job. For example, your boss has
just announced you that, due to the crisis, your salary will be reduced with 25% or maybe you for the last few weeks,
you have continuously been harassed by your boss.
Should you quit? Definitely! After all, if you are an experienced job, you will definitely find a similar post somewhere
else. And who knows, the other job may be better paid, therefore why on Earth would you stay in a place where you are
not comfortable?
The second situation is when the workers realizes that he can start working on its own. Though, the alternative of working
on your own is only for the ones who have a large entrepreneurial sense, as starting from 0, is definitely a thing that
not too many people can deal with.
Also, before quitting your job, ensure that in your contract there is no part that might stop your from doing this. If
there is such a part, then you can quit your job only after that minimum period of working at that firm has passed.
As well, ensure that you don’t have to pay for the training or for the special courses that you may have received at your
job. If you do have to pay such a training – this situation happens for those who go for a specialized training and then
quit their jobs -, then either you pay for it 100%, either you remain until the minimum period of time required to not pay
the course anymore has passed, either you pay.
One more thing: if you are about to quit your job, don't tell your boss he is an idiot, and don't do something silly: who
knows, maybe sometime you will be forced to come back. And guess who will be the silly one then.
